I would like to pass along some information about my great uncle, Staff Sergeant Howard W. Young:

MIA 01/29/1944 - MACR 2308 shot down over the Mediterranean near
Ladispoli, Italy


Seven parachutes were seen to open, two lighting on land, five on the water. No one was ever recovered.

In the American Soldiers Missing and Wounded picture the man to the
right of my uncle, Sgt Aughey, is listed on the MACR as being part of
another crew that was reported missing the same day.
