This ship was badly damaged by flak on the 21 January 1944 mission to the Orvieto Railroad bridge. The electrical and hydraulic system were shot out and the right prop had "run away". The pilot F/O Elwin C. "Skeets" Goodenough nursed the aircraft back to Decimo, but was unable to get the landing gear down or the bomb by doors closed. He expertly belly landed the aircraft on the airfield.
