Elmer Cudworth, on the left was killed on 19 January 1945. Cudworth was copilot on 08, flying its first mission after the original 08 went down on its 114th mission. Joe Kingsbury, the guy who took all the color photos, is second on the left

"Yippee: It's all over" A 1st TAC crew that led the last flight on the groups last mission against enemy positions on the Ile D'Oleron off the west coast of France receive the firs word of Germany's capitulation. They jumped with glee when the news was brought to them  by 1st. Lt. Michael J. Costello (extreme left).
